Our guest speaker this week will be Janet McGee, who has spearheaded a local version of The Butterfly Project here in Pilot Point.

The Butterfly Project uses "history's darkest time " to teach students about hope, resilience, and kindness - helping them develop the courage to stand up to injustice in today's world. Ms. McGee is working to have the 100 painted butterflies memorialized and has met with Elizabeth Jones and Chris Duncan to discuss a monument.

Other Rotary Business
Our next Flag Work Day has been moved one week to Thursday, August 15 at 8 a.m. Anyone who is able to help with flag repair needs to meet at that time at the Flag Storage Warehouse at 216 W Liberty St.
 
Those wishing to attend our district's Vibrant Club Workshop on August 17 need to register ASAP. The registration fee is $35 and it will be held at Liberty Christian School in Argyle.
 
Reminder that we will have our District Governor Andy Eads visiting our club on August 20. This will be an extremely important meeting for all to be in attendance at!
