Our guest speaker this week will be our own Linda Bullwinkle, who will be doing a presentation on the economic benefits of community arts programs. Linda serves as the treasurer of Pilot Point Community Arts, Inc.
Other Rotary Business
We need to ensure that flags are distributed next week for Flag Day. They will remain up through the Fourth of July holiday in honor of the 250th celebration.
During last week's meeting, we had a club roundtable discussion on improvements for the club. Suggestions included:
Setting aside one meeting a month for club workdays or service projects (such as assembling or placing flags, working on our Adopt a Road cleanup area, etc.)
Setting aside one meeting a month for an evening meeting from 6-7 pm for those who cannot attend
The members in attendance also expressed interest in being IN the 4th of July parade. If anyone has a golf cart, Gator or similar that our Rotarians could ride on during the parade or if you are interested in being a part of Rotary's parade float, please contact Penni (972-467-3795).
