At this week's Rotary meeting, we welcomed Maria Jones. Maria is the Strategic Development Manager for Denton Freedom House and the lead force behind the Pilot Point Health Fair, which will be held July 18 at Pilot Point High School.
Maria spoke about the mission of Denton Freedom House and its entities. Denton Freedom House started as a men's mission to help those who were trying to recover from addiction additional resources to help them get back on their feet. DFH has now grown to include:
- Women's Ministry
- Freedom Food Pantry
- Zera Coffee
Maria also gave an update on this year's Pilot Point Health Fair. The 2026 will be held July 18 at Pilot Point Health Fair from 9 am to 1 pm.
The Health Fair has recently launched a website (https://www.pilotpointhealthfair.org/) and a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pilotpointhealthfair) where additional information will be posted.
